Dreaming On Distant Shores Once in a while, we all have some pretty profound thoughts. Now, how meaningful each thought is is of course completely subjective. Your life-changing moment of enlightenment might be yesterday's old news to me. Or any manner of substance-induced babble.

Well, what I'm leading to is maybe the best thought I've had. It could easily mean nothing to you, as was mentioned earlier.

Anyway, my best thought is not about perfection.

In a blue, empty world I lie alone on a beach. The waves rise and fall in the surf, the empty ocean stretches out in every direction. Everything is static, random, the waves and the wind. A subtle breeze travelDreaming On Distant Shores by ~Tacospeak

Enjoy the Rain I don't recall there being a moon
Though there was a breeze
Stepping there between the roots
My boots gained company
The mud clung closely at their sides
As if it felt unease

This set me wondering
And in current retrospect
I think how strange an attitude
That earth seemed to reflect

It's neighbors there displayed no vice
That would warrant it's want for escape
Obelisks there standing tall
Surveying the landscape

Quietly they carried on
Rooted in their place
They were modest, quiet, without a boast
Dates and words from each stone face

What offense did they display I wonder
To scare the mud up from it's place?

Well it's been a while since I've submitted anything...motivation levels are pretty critical, as they often are lately. I want to create, I want to write but do I really want to put the work into making it happen? There's quite a discrepancy between what I want to do and what I actually do. So I kind of stumble on through my daily life facing formulaic patterns that balance out into disappointment.
I don't mean to complain, and this isn't a plea for pity. I just find it nice to put my thoughts down into writing. I know exactly what my problem is and how I need to change. It would be completely illogical to not change. Yet that's the hardest part. Strange.

But I will change.
